Space on a police motor is always at a premium, yet all agencies want to utilize as much common equipment as possible. Most printer enclosures are too large to fit properly on motors, so FMS Accessories has developed a low profile enclosure for use with the Brother Pocket-Jet printer (printer not included). The printer enclosure can be used stand-alone, or together with the base plate - and can even be combined with the pivoting laptop base as shown in the photos.
The Pocket-Jet printer can be run either on batteries, or will require a 90 degree power plug to ensure it does not interfere with the paper roll. The paper roll shaft has a knurled area to reduce the likelihood of unwanted paper unrolling. Roll changing is simple, with the loading end uphill when parked on the side stand (when mounted as shown in the photo).
Important: Select the size of printer spindle that matches the paper your agency purchases. Though most agencies use paper with 1/2" ID rolls, some agencies use paper with a 7/16" ID. These are not interchangeable - select the spindle shaft diameter when ordering to match the paper your agency purchases.
Due to the large number of variants in communications equipment used by agencies, some custom adaption may be required. Feel free to inquire and discuss your agencies specific equipment needs.
